I am called Strong Hawk Circles the Medicine Wheel; or Strong Hawk. My tax name is Virgil Russell. I have apprenticed myself to a Choctaw Elder to learn the old ways, and have attended as well as facilitated Men's Gatherings around the country. As a result of this background, and studying gender issues related to my degree in Sociology, I have found the courage to begin walking in my Vision with the support of my Community.
Using a combination of Traditional Ceremony, ancient teachings of Natural Spirituality, and self awareness techniques, I help men create and discover new images of Masculinity.
Our Quest as Men is to seek balance as "whole people", and to Honor, support, and encourage mature masculine energy in ourselves, our sons, and in each other while giving Honor and Respect to the Feminine.
I am available as a speaker and teacher for weekend retreats, workshops, Rites of Passage, and private consultations.
